1). What is ‘Summer Tree’ all about?
Summer Tree is a camp organized by a Christian Non Profit Organization - SISHYA, featuring workshops led by renowned individuals in today's world, teachings to apply to your daily life, exhilarating concerts, thought-provoking discussions, exciting competitions and games and much, much more.
2). How do I get to the Campsite?
From Chennai take the East Coast Road (ECR). About 37 Kms from Scripture Union (SU) Campsite, Mahabalipuram & 17 Kms from Kalpakkam you will see the Leadership Training Centre of Trans World Radio. That’s the place to be.

3) What are the Camp dates and timings?
From 6 pm of 26th May 2011 to 2 pm on 29th May 2011.
4) What if I don’t have my own means of transport?
Bus pickups from the railway station, airport will be done if a sufficient number of people are coming (Rs. 200).

5) How do I register?
The registration can be done by contacting one of our local ambassadors in your region. You need to register online as well as fill in the registration coupon with the required details and pay the respective amount (Rs. 650). You will be given a coupon which need to be shown at the camp welcome desk. In case you are not able to get in touch with a local ambassador, please e-mail us at mailsishya@gmail.com
6) I’ve registered, now what?
If you have finished registration you are all set for the camp. Keep your receipt safe and make sure that you keep checking the website for more updates.
7) What is the registration cost?
The camp fee is Rs.650, excluding travel. Concessions will be made for deserving candidates.
8) Can I leave the Camp early?
Campers are requested not to leave the site till the conclusion. Any exception to this would be at the individual’s own risk. You will also have to arrange your own transportation.
9) What activities are included in a day of camp?
Workshops, Games, praise & worship, Discussions, Devotions, Competitions, Group Interaction & more
10) What about medicine and medical needs during camp?
We will have two camp doctors, one each for men and women.
11) Can I use my cell phone during the camp?
Cell phones are strictly prohibited during the camp sessions.
12) Will I need extra money?
You will need to carry some money in case you want to avail of the transport facilities and also for your personal expenses. Apart from the Rs.650 for registration, no further amount will be collected at the camp.
13) What are the stay arrangements like?
The campsite features spacious dorms – with comfortable facilities
14) What should I bring to the Camp?
Proper clothing (Weather would be warm in Chennai), notebook, pen and any personal belongings, which you would require for 4 days stay. You may bring along your personal Bible as well incase you have one.
15) What if I have to cancel?
Please inform us two weeks in advance. But this is one event you definitely don’t want to miss out on!
16) Can I join in on the 2nd or 3rd day?
It is highly recommended that you attend the camp right from the first day as the camp has a structured flow. But if faced by unavoidable circumstances, you can join in on the 2nd or 3rd day but the registration fees remain the same
17) Will there be adult supervision for minors/girls traveling alone to Chennai from long distances?
Yes. There will be adults traveling with them from the place of origin till the campsite. Please refer the list of local contacts for names and phone numbers.
18) Do I have to be a Christian to attend? Is this a religious camp?
Our firm conviction is that God is a good God and desires that His children realizes their full potential and live fulfilling and purposeful lives. We further believe that this fulfilling life can be achieved only when the created meets their Creator and enters into a relationship with Him.
Our motivation to hold this camp is to share the love of Jesus Christ and the riches of his blessings irrespective whether you choose to accept Him or not. Hence the camp is open to people of all religious persuasions and the programming content is designed to be relevant to all irrespective of their religious persuasions
