To birth and grow unique leaders of truth, integrity & excellence who serve the global community as we follow the Lord Jesus Christ.
Objectives
Sishya seeks to make Disciples for Life! ‘Life’ refers to Jesus who is the Way, the Truth & the LIFE. ‘Life’ also refers to every aspect of our everyday routines with its schedules, relationships, studies, work, emotions, goals etc.
In our pursuit of becoming Christ-like, we encourage that we strive towards

INTEGRITY: Integrity is the heart of the “Heart-issues”
EXCELLENCE: Our excellence attests God’s grace.
Strategy
Sishya works in 4 verticals primarily:
SEED, the students ministry Wing
Three Strands, the family enrichment wing
PACT, the working professionals wing
Community Development, Work at grass-root level communities at various places.
Prayer. Prayer is the DNA of Sishya. There is a high emphasis on prayer among the staff, volunteers and Bible studies of Sishya.
Partnerships
Sishya works in Partnership with churches, organisations & institutions. We are proud to partner with various entities such as CMC Vellore, Lady Doak College, Madurai, Madras Christian College, Chennai, Women’s Christian College, Chennai, Alpha group of Schools Chennai, etc., who share the same vision as ours.
Sishya does tailor-made events based on the demography and works on a long term sustainable follow-up plan with the partners. These programs usually contain a music component by our music team, activity-based-learning, facilitated small group sessions and a talk. Apart from these events, Sishya conducts weekly Bible studies either through a Sishya volunteer or a ‘trained’ leader from the partner organisation.
